Welcome to the NEW Marion Regional Career Center!

News Blog Category - News On June 22, the Marion Community Schools Board of School Trustees officially approved our new name, Marion Regional Career Center.

With the closure of the Tucker facility, we are taking on a new identity, which represents expanded opportunities for students from Marion High School and the surrounding county schools. A portion of the Marion High School campus is being remodeled to accommodate our career-tech education programs. We are excited about the possibilities this location offers for more MHS students to get involved with our programs, which are expanding in the coming years to include new programs including aviation, HVAC, and more.

Also coming soon: Giant Bistro

Our restaurant run by the culinary arts program will also have a new home and a new name. The Giant Bistro will be taking over a vacant restaurant on the Bypass, the former K Bistro, 2201 S. Western Ave. This location only blocks away from the high school will offer greater opportunities for community partnerships (such as catering for The Refinery nearby, an ongoing relationship that will only grow stronger with the easier logistics), as well as a much more visible and easily accessible location, right amidst other restaurants and businesses on one of the city's major thoroughfares. The Giant Bistro will open to the public in October.

We are looking forward to the new opportunities that all of these changes bring for our students and staff, along with the community!
